Of these, 350 patients of whom had at least one risk factor for type 2 diabetes in particular, triggered by unhealthy lifestyles. Risk factors in question include high blood pressure and obesity.

The patients who have risk factors are then examined his teeth, then hasinya analyzed. The results showed that patients who have risk factors for diabetes tend to have problems such as periodontal pockets of teeth and tooth formation (deep periodontal pocket).

These findings imply that with diligent dental and oral health check, which was detected not only tooth decay. If the symptoms of diabetes were also detected from the beginning, then the risk is much worse could have been avoided such as heart disease and stroke.
