Nisoldipine is a medicine belonging to calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing (widening) blood vessels and improve blood flow.
Indications:
Used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
Dose:
By mouth (orally) 5-10 mg administered 2 times a day, or by mouth (orally) 10 mg 1 time a day.
The dose may be increased to 20 mg by mouth (orally), 2 times a day.
Side Effects:
CV effects (depression of cardiac function, hypotension, worsening heart failure, edema, bradycardia), GI effects (constipation); CNS effects (headache, dizziness).
HR regulate calcium antagonists (such as Diltiazem, Verapamil Gallopamil &); decomposition AV, AV block, sinus bradycardia & stem disorders.
Short interaction dihydropyridine agents should be avoided because it has the potential increased risks worsening heart condition.
Special Instructions:
Contra-indications in patients who clearly lose heart failure, although vasoselective dihydropyridine (such as Amlodipine, felodipine) may persist in patients with reduced LVEF.
HR regulating calcium antagonist berkontra-indications to patients with bradycardia, sinus disorders rod & AV nodal block.
