Description:
Enoxaparin is an anticoagulant (blood thinner) that prevents the formation of blood clots. Enoxaparin is used to prevent DVT, including pulmonary embolism (blockage of blood vessels of the lungs). DVT can occur after certain types of surgery, or in people who had undergone total rest after a prolonged illness.
Indications:
Used to treat or prevent this type of blood clot called deep vein thrombosis (DVT), and to prevent complications of blood vessels in patients with angina and heart attacks.
Dosage:
UA / non-Q-wave MI (Unstable angina and non-Q wave Myocardial Infarction):
1 mg / kg SC every 12 hours, multiplied by 2-8 days, with a low dose of aspirin.
Side Effects:
Haematological effects (hemorrhage, thrombocytopenia); a rather rare hypersensitivity reactions (anaphylaxis).
Special Instructions:
1. contra diction in patients with active major bleeding.
2. Use with caution in patients with hemophilia or other hemorrhage disorders (including history of disease due to the influence of Heparin thrombocytopenia), stomach ulcers, acute hypertension, acute liver disorders.
3. Noting the risks and benefits of prevention are needed in patients anticoagulated neuraxial.
4. Paltelet periodic monitoring is required during treatment.
